OPENING DE LUCA FINE ART GALLERY
Corrado De Luca is both filmmaker and art dealer: His filmography includes: Interview with the Mythfish, Stoned (Milan International Short Film Festival), the documentary films; ParkdAlien (BRAVO!), Barbers (Omni Television). For ten years Corrado has been promoting his father and other established Italian contemporary artists in Canada by curating exhibitions in collaboration with several galleries in Toronto such as Joseph D. Carrier, Odon Wagner, Drabinsky and Mittica. More recently he has hosted receptions in his studio which led to the opening of De Luca Fine Art | Gallery. The inaugural exhibition features new work by Corrado’s father, Giuseppe De Luca, one of the most expressively modern traditionalist painters in Italy today. His innovative methods have shattered conventional impressionistic techniques with powerful results. His paintings remain a testament to a profound consideration for felt emotions and tangible experience. De Luca Fine Art | Gallery will be a by-appointment-only atelier, or “salotto”, with public receptions that will offer collectors the opportunity to acquire work by some of the finest artists in Italy today, including Pedretti, Cassinari, Ossola, Sesia, Crippa, Maio, Rognoni, Martinelli and Calia, as well as emerging artists Emanuele Gregolin, Mauro Bordin and Claudio Rubino. De Luca Fine Art | Gallery will also feature Italian Canadian artists.
